About: Apaan Mudra

Apaan Mudra is known as the “purification mudra”. It cleanses the body and thus helps in elimination of waste and toxins from the nose, mouth, ears and eyes. It is also helpful in case of stomachache, constipation, and urinary problems.
Take a comfortable seated position either on the floor or in a chair, with a straight spine. Using both hands, bend the middle, ring fingers and thumb so that their tips are touching. The index and little fingers are pointing straight. As you let your hands rest comfortably, move your attention to your breath. Allow yourself to slight into stillness as you sit in meditation for at least 30 minutes (the suggested amount of time for this specific mudra).
