About Priestess Ida Resi Alit
"It is an incredible opportunity to meet Ida Resi Alit, connect with the living spiritual soul of Bali, and witness the embodiment of living female wisdom. Om Swastiastu! May you be blessed!”
– Katiza Satya and Kevin Sahaj
In 2007, Ida Resi Alit was ordained “High Priestess” by the Council of Hindu Dharma and became the youngest person to ever receive this title (a position normally only given to men). Six months before her ordination, Ida had an immensely powerful experience during meditation earning her distinction as a “revenant” or “rebirth” (one who has come back from the dead). From that moment forward, she suddenly displayed exceptional skills and an ability to speak ancient languages. In 3 short months, she passed trials and tests to become a high priest (these tests typically occur over 5+ years and require decades of training). At 20 years old the historic and monumental decision was made to ordain her High Priestess.
She is now responsible for the well being of over 300,000 community members in Bangli, Bali. She works closely with political leaders to conduct large ceremonies of up to 10,000 people at a time. Her incredible story and ability to heal have encouraged thousands of people from all over the world to visit her ashram Gryia Agung Budha Salahin and receive her blessings.
After 10 years of profound servitude and devotion as High Priestess of Bali, Ida Resi Alit is now visiting the US to spread divine light and the spirit of global oneness. She describes her mission as being to create harmony between people, the environment, and spirit.
The Story of Ida Resi Alit
In February, 2018 the High Priestess of Bali, Ida Resi Alit, turned her attention worldwide. She has since lead over 20 large Ritual Ceremonies and Water Blessings in California and has plans to travel the world leading ceremonies for the rest of the year.
Ida Resi Alit (Ni Komang Widiantari was her name before she was awarded this title) was born at home, into a simple family, in a rice farming village in a region of Bali, Indonesia called Bangli. She was born on March 13th, 1986. As a young woman, she dreamed of attending university, having a family, and becoming a successful independent woman. After her father died a sudden and tragic death when she was 13 years old, her family faced an ever-increasing amount of economic hardship. Despite the challenges of her youth, Ida did not give up on her dreams.
After graduating high school she participated in a national exchange program and travelled to find work on the island of Bintan, near Singapore. Unable to find a job, she was soon forced to return home. Her challenge in finding work continued in Bali and she began to lose hope. Feeling lost and depressed, Ida sought out her great uncle, a Hindu Monku, for guidance. He instructed her on the basics of meditation as a way to balance her emotions.
Within a week of her new meditation practice, she developed an incredibly powerful connection with spirit. After three months of daily practice, she had an experience of leaving her body that earned her the distinction as a “revenant” (one who has come back from the dead). She came back displaying exceptional skills and an intimate knowledge of practices that generally take decades to master. She could then speak several ancient languages she had never studied. This significant event lead to her accepting her destiny of becoming a High Priestess.
In 3 months Ida passed all of the mandatory trials and tests to become a High Priestess. This procedure typically takes decades of formal training and about 3 years of testing. At a young 20 years old, Ida dispelled all doubts in regards to the extent and depth of her knowledge and gained the assent of the council leadership. On her 21st birthday, the historic and monumental decision was made to ordain her High Priestess. She is the youngest person ever to be awarded this official title, the only known High Priestess to be awarded this title outside of marriage in hundreds of years, and one of the select few throughout history who have received it without prior formal training.
After 11 years of profound devotion serving her community, Ida finds herself called into a new endeavor. She is the first high priest/priestess to bring her teachings outside of Bali. She teaches the importance of compassion, the art of connection, the value of community, oneness, and love with the world. She has already made a number of appearances at major events such as the “World Economic Forum” and has performed ceremonies for audiences across North America with plans to visit Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America by the end of 2019.
Ida Resi Alit believes no one has exclusive rights to The One.
Divine inspiration can and will come through many chosen individuals – with diverse gifts for humankind – in order to usher in a new world that embraces:
The Spirit of Global Oneness.
In the midst of the historic center, De Duif (The Pigeon) is a hidden jewel. If you look closely, you will discover a beautiful neoclassicist sculpture. Behind the modest appearance you’ll find a surprisingly big sacred space, with a very special energy.
The first stone for De Duif was laid in 1857. Interestingly the current church got named after it’s predecessor the 17th century De eerste steen voor de huidige Duifkerk werd in april 1857 gelegd. Interessant genoeg dankt de huidige kerk haar naam aan een voorganger, het 17e-eeuwse hiding church “Het Vrededuifje”, meaning the Peace Pigeon. Very special that we will practice Inner Peace here.
Why do we practice Inner Peace in a church?
Churches are designed to channel universal wisdom to the people. Their locations are always chosen with a clear mind, their energetic field functioning as the nadis of the city. These urban sanctuaries are charged with spiritual energy. By practicing inner peace in these sacred places, we tap into this energy. Here we can come in oneness with the universe and go beyond religion.
"All things come forth from The ONE; the source of complete existence. Its cosmic presence is manifested in many names and took all forms, beings, in each generations of humanity, in order to make known Its divine essence. Indeed, it is known theosophically that: All Parts are contained in the Whole and the Whole is contained in all Parts."
– Ida Resi Alit
"I recommend meeting this lovely spirit while she travels the world, and if your lucky enough to have her performer her water blessing on you it will change you forever."
– Louise Nguyen
