Meet Erica Jago

Update 15-08: Unfortunately Erica is not able to join this year's conference. She writes why:

Dearest: I would have loved to be at the Inner Peace Conference this October, experiencing the transformative event with all of you. Alas, my pregnancy has asked more of me than I originally anticipated. The session I was scheduled to give was titled 'Soulful Purpose'. A topic near and dear to my work as a retreat leader and self-published author.

It has been my mission to inspire others to develop trust within themselves. By de-programing self-destruction, we learn how to express our bodies with softness and grace and create visions we know will bring love and light into the world. In my own self-studies, I find this truth is brought on by creative processes and contemplation practices spent in nature; topics I wanted to touch upon and discuss in my talk with you.

The decision to stay home during my ninth month, rather than come on stage to speak was not an easy one to make. I value what I do with so much beauty and I see how gatherings like these are in fact transforming the world. As you flow from music to meditation, yoga to wisdom, all of your bodies and paths become one. I will be forming the same unbreakable circle in my own home, as my partner and I turn in, and prepare for the arrival of our baby girl, who I know comes with a Soulful Purpose, all her own.

During your two days at the conference, may you be inspired to hold the energy of Inner Peace, more and more.

To each of you, with love,
Erica Jago

"The lump in my throat releases
my ears open to hear
call in self expression
say no to the voice of fear
there is no significant separation
between what is “in here” and “out there”
break the barrier of my skin
bring peace everywhere."

From an early age, Erica has been innately interested in exploring spiritual domains in life — through dance, art, music and athleticism. She earned an industrial design degree from the Ohio State University and has been a graphic designer in San Francisco since 2001. Studying & practicing yoga for over 10 years has been an ever-evolving way to express her truth, creativity and emotions. In her teachings, design is vital for transforming instructional concepts into artful & meaningful class experiences. Designing Art of Attention has been a profound life-changing journey.

During the making of her book, Art of Attention, Erica received the help that she needed to heal an addiction she had been battling for 20 years. Since then, she has been helping others connect to their purpose on her chakra study yoga retreats. She is currently working on a new book Angelus, an experiential chakra workbook that goes beyond the intellectual understanding of the chakras. It presents a proven methodology of emotionally connected yoga and visually powerful art as a means to see and feel your body’s wisdom.

‘’Erica Jago is one of those lights, that once you witness her, everything seems more possible.’’
